Common questions
Do I need an exam if I see fine?
Yes. Some eye problems don't show at first, and an exam can find them.
How often should I have an exam?
It depends on your age, your health and your family history. The doctor tells you at your visit.
Do you work with my vision plan?
We work with many plans. Call us with your card and the front desk checks it before your visit.
Why was part of my visit billed to medical insurance?
When the doctor checks an eye problem or disease, that work is medical and goes to medical insurance. The routine part goes to your vision plan.
Can I fill my prescription somewhere else?
Yes. Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy after your exam and fitting.
Can I have my contact lens prescription?
Yes, when your exam and fitting are done. To order elsewhere, that seller has to confirm it with us.
What should I bring?
Your glasses, your last prescription, your insurance cards and a list of your medicines.
How much will it cost?
It depends on your plan and what you need. Read how fees work, or call and the front desk tells you before you start.
What do I do in an eye emergency?
With sudden vision loss, a curtain over your vision, an eye injury or a chemical splash, call us right away or go to the emergency room. If you can't reach us, call 911.
How do I book my first visit?
Call us and the front desk tells you the first available visit.
Don't see your question?
Call us and we are glad to answer.
